VIRGINIA "GINNY" "GRUMPY" GLENDA (COLLINS) TIPPITT, 85, of Cold Springs Rd. in Stark, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin.
Ginny was born on September 25, 1938, in Whitefield, NH the daughter of the late Glen A. and Lillian E. (Ball) Collins.
In 1956, Ginny moved to Westfield, MA, and lived there for 32 years before moving to Stark in 1988. Over the years she worked for Ames Department Store for 12 years and then was the retail manager for Wal-Mart's apparel department.
She enjoyed playing computer games; making crafts; knitting; crocheting and working with beads.
Ginny is survived by six children Zandra Streetman of Berlin, NH; Glenn Tippitt of Groveton; Robert G. Tippitt III of Charlton, MA; Karin Sowa of Concord; Elizabeth SeWell of Berlin; and Danielle Muto of South Hadley, MA; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Ginny was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Robert G. Tippitt Jr. on January 2, 2016, and her sister Gail Daigle.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, with Pastor Seth Frink of the Assembly of God Church officiating.
