VIRGINIA "GINGER" LEA (FENN) SANTILLANES, 72, of Melcher Court, Groveton, died peacefully at her home after a long illness.
Ginger was born on November 9, 1949, in Leona, WI., a daughter of the late Byron Author and Mae Jane (Dolsen) Fenn. She was a graduate of Granada High School in Livermore, CA. She moved to the Groveton area twenty-five years ago from California.
Ginger enjoyed crocheting; doing crafts; fishing; blackberry picking; baking; gardening and spending time with and making jam with her grandchildren.
Ginger was very spiritual and worked as a psychic for many years at fairs and helped police solve cases. She was big into Holistic Medicine and was a "Jack of all trades".
Ginger was a very giving and caring person, over the years, she helped take care of many people at Melcher Court and a few members of the Tilton family.
Ginger is survived by her daughter Carmen Santillanes of Derry, NH; longtime companion Arnold Tilton of Groveton; two granddaughters Candace Lamothe and Holly Sebring; four great-grandchildren Aubree Lamothe; Hunter Lamothe; Cali Curry; and Louie Godfrey; three sisters Charlotte Richarz; Linda Ruys and husband John; and Susan Scott and husband Gary; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters Cheryl Young and Debbie Fenn and one brother-in-law Paul Richarz.
At Ginger's request, there will be no services. Her cremains will be buried with her family in the Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend, WI. Arrangements are entrusted to the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
