VIRGINIA "ROSIE" (CHRISTIE) HURLBERT, died peacefully December 2, 2010, just five days before her 92 birthday. Born in Stratford, NH on December 7, 1918 a daughter of Robert and Isa (Hardy) Christie, she was a lifelong resident of Stratford. Rosie owned and operated the Hurlbert Dairy Farm in Stratford for many years with her husband. She was a real outdoorswoman enjoying hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, ect. She is survived by her brother Franklin "Petie" Christie of Stratford; granddaughter Sheila Wertz and husband Steve; her dog Danny and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Glen Hurlbert in 1991; daughter Alice (Hurlbert) White in 2002 and several brothers and sisters. Calling hour will be held on Tuesday December 7 from 10:00am - 12:00 noon at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. A celebration of Rosie's life will be at 12:00 noon December 7 at the funeral home, with Pastor Aaron Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Stratford Cemetery.
