WAYNE LLOYD MILLER, 64, of Lancaster Road, died unexpectedly after a sudden illness at his home on Sunday, June 23, 2013. Wayne was born in Island Pond, Vermont on April 18, 1949, a son of John Miller and Evelyn (Tippitt) Miller and has been a resident of Northumberland for most of his life. He was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1968. He worked over the years for the Groveton Paper Mill, Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard and as a Prison Guard. Wayne was a US Army Veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the North American Hunting Club. Loves in Wayne's life included; spending time with his grandson Koda; motorcycles, music and being with friends and camping. He is survived by his mother Evelyn Miller of Hillsboro, Oregon; son Joshua Meunier and wife Sabrina of Groveton; grandson Koda Meunier of Groveton; two sisters Janice Farley and husband Darryl of Hillsboro, Oregon and Alicia Miller of New Mexico; two brothers John Miller of Woodland, Washington and William Miller and wife Carol of Carnation, Washington; one brother-in-law Julio Esquivel of Tampa, Florida; a special cousin Sally Frizzell and husband Leo of Groveton; numerous uncles and aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father John Miller and one sister, Shirley Esquivel. A graveside service for Wayne [and his Mother Evelyn] will be held in the Ridgewell Cemetery Guildhall, Vermont on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 am, with a Celebration of Life event immediately following at the Carter Hall (Groveton United Methodist Church) in Groveton, NH. We hope that you will join us to celebrate our brother Wayne and our wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in the Groveton area.
