AMBER THOMPSON , 71, of Spring Street, died unexpectedly at her residence on January 9, 2023.

Born in Lancaster, NH on November 27, 1951, to Alvin "Ike" and Norma (Lund) Thompson, Amber was raised by her aunt and uncle Agnes and Alfred Stillings after her mother died during childbirth. She lived most of her life in Coos County and in Groveton for the past several years.

Amber served in the US Army, during the Vietnam War from 1972 to 1975.

Although she mostly kept to herself, she enjoyed music and working on computers.

Amber is survived by one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Amber was predeceased by her parents; aunt and uncle; and four siblings Patricia Dupont; Carol Coolbeth; Evelyn Hutchinson; and Calvin Thompson.

There will be no services at this time. Burial will be in the Cushman Cemetery in Dalton at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
