JOAN RACHEL HOBART, 84, of Lancaster Rd, Lunenburg, VT, died peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care in Lancaster, after a brief illness.

Joan was born on May 27, 1936, in Kirby, Vermont a daughter of the late Jesse Dean and Phyllis Louise (Rogers) Wright. She has been a resident of Lunenburg since the early 1970s.

Joan was a loving and devoted mother; loved her cats; gardening; art and flowers.

She is survived by her three children Albert M. Tardiff and wife Cindy of Guildhall, VT; Sally A. Huntington and husband Sidney of Jefferson, NH; and Frederick S. Hobart, II of Lunenburg, VT; several grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Frederick S. Hobart, Sr.; and her siblings.

At Joan's request, there will be no calling hours, a small services will take place in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made in the memory of Joan and her beloved beagle Sari, who passed in September of 2020, to the Riverside Rescue, Inc.; 236 Riverside Avenue; Lunenburg, VT 05906.
